IELTS WRITING TASK 2 : In some countries, owning a home rather than renting one is very important for people.

In some countries, owning a home rather than renting one is very important for people.

Why might this be case ?

Do you think this is a positive or negative situation?

____________________________________________________________________________

In some countries, owning a home is very important for people. Moreover, it is very important to own your own home rather than renting it. for some, it might be different, but for these people, it matters.

I think owning a home is important because it would be more comfortable to live in your own home. You can do whatever you want and you also stay for a long time because the ownership is private. Although buying a home is more expensive at first, but it could be cheaper in the long run than renting if your strategy correctly. Based on the research, national homeownership is on average 38% cheaper than renting, the calculation is based on a fixed interest rate over 10 years.

If you as a person are renting a home or an apartment there might be a lot of problems in your life. all the goods at that home are not yours. Homeowners can increase the rent price or sell that home or apartment and you have to move several times if your lease expires then, you must maintain the attitude of a tenant.

In other words, not owning your home could be a relief when it comes to your finance. as a renter you will not think about maintenance and repair costs and worry about falling home prices, then there is no property tax.

In conclusion, owning a home is special. I would rather own my house because whatever happens, it's on me and no one else.
